Safety Precautions

Safety precautions play very important role in our fast running modern business life to protect ourselves from any accident. God has created this world and different animals including human beings. Human beings are one of the great creation among all other creations of God. God has used his full effort in the creation of human beings and gifted thinking power and different body organs to do any complicated work. Nothing is impossible for the human beings to do any work by using the gifted power of god. Therefore, it is the duty and responsibility of the human beings to take proper care and protect the god gifted body from any damage due to any accident.

Any defect in any part of your body prevents you from working normally. Therefore, proper care should be taken and the required safety precautions should be strictly followed to protect yourself from any accident during your normal working life. Your safety is your responsibility and hence, the following general safety precautions are required to be observed while working in the laboratory.

01) Always keep the surrounding area of laboratory neat, clean and well ventilated to have pleasant working environment.

02) Always use apron, safety shoes, hand gloves, safety goggles, earbuds, mask and helmet according to the requirement.

03) Never wear wet and loose clothes while working in the laboratory.

04) Always check the proper working of hand tools and safety devices.

05) Always concentrate your mind towards the work to avoid any accident.

06) Never stand on the wet earth from where the electrical lines are passing.

07) Do not use or handle any hand tool without proper knowledge.

08) The proper required tool must be used for a particular type of job.

09) Do not put any sharp edged hand tool in your pocket to avoid any injury.

10) Do not use or handle any hand tool without handle to avoid any injury.

11) Always handover any hand tool to someone else from the handle side to avoid any injury.

12) Always use two hands to hold electric hand drill machine to avoid twisting of one hand while drilling.

13) On / Off Switch must be used for connecting Phase / Live wire.

14) Safety fuse of proper current rating must be used to avoid any accident during any short circuit.

15) Proper earthing is essential to ground the leakage current from the body of high power equipment.

16) Always turn off the mains power supply switch before replacing a blown fuse.

17) Whenever a ladder is required to be used, it must be held by someone to avoid any accident.

18) Never energize any conductor unless and until it is sure that no one is working on it.

19) Do not remove plug pin of any electrical / electronic equipment by pulling its flexible wire / mains cord.

20) Do not operate any electrical / electronics equipment without proper knowledge.

21) Before cleaning or servicing of any equipment, turn off the power supply switch to avoid any accident.

22) While diluting concentrated acid for battery charging, always add acid to water drop by drop to avoid any accident.

23) Never forget to turn off the mains power supply switch before shutting down your laboratory or workshop.

24) Last but not least, “Protection Is Better Than Cure” & hence, always be careful to avoid any accident.
